A wonderful concert, rare style and compactness without any concession to compromise, but rather rich and complex, in the spirit that accompanied the birth of Weather Report, founded by Joe Zawinul, Wayne Shorter and Miroslav Vitous. That spirit of equal dialogue between musicians, as well as the momentum towards freedom of expression, experimentation and research, which Zawinul - more interested in fame and wealth that the definition of new musical languages \u200b\u200b- quickly rejected, forcing a corner in Shorter Vitous and inviting, gently Austrian, to leave the band. Back in Milan, one of the great instrumentalists of the history of improvised music, bassist Miroslav Vitous , which presents a fascinating reinterpretation of the period in which it was part of group Weather Report. Composed of artists like Franco Ambrosetti value and Nasheet Waits, the complex also makes use of the contribution of one of the greatest figures of European music, the saxophonist and clarinetist Michel Portal.

Renowned jazz bassist born in Prague, Vitous practice the violin since the age of six years,

before moving on to piano at age ten and bass at fourteen. One of his first groups was the Junior Trio with his brother Alan on drums and with his friend, Czech, also known soon, Jan Hammer on keyboards.

During the years of conservatory won an international competition in Vienna, ottenend

or so a scholarship to the Berklee College of Music in Boston. From then on, a life of success that combines talent and technology: a strong sense of rhythm, the guidelines laid down low and extensive use of improvisation.
